it’s no secret that instagram is one of the best resources for designers; ideas, inspiration, networking – it has it all. unlike pinterest, it’s an extremely social platform, and has the second largest database of users (800 million). with every post, you can include up to 30 hashtags.
also unlike pinterest, it’s much easier to create content for virtually everyone. with the ability to post images straight from your phone and of your everyday life, it can certainly have a much more authentic, less perfectly-curated feel.
whether you use instagram to showcase your work or just peruse images, one of the best parts of the app is their efficient use of hashtags. to get your content noticed, find images that are most relevant to you, or network with people interested in the same thing as you, hashtags are ideal.
the delight of design has sifted through the millions (billions, we’re sure) of hashtags out there to bring you the ones we find most personally useful for networking, as well as for relevant interior design and home improvement posts.
to create this list, we did some pretty exhaustive research on Instagram and used our own favorites. since each Instagram post has a limit of 30 hashtags, that’s where we cut our list off, but we included an additional 10 that we really love and just couldn’t possibly exclude.
