trend watch: white fixtures!

we’re officially calling it, the newest trend about to flood your feeds: white fixtures.

the rose golds and coppers are, in my lil humble opinion, ebbing out or being used as subtle accents, while brass and matte black decor is continuing to take over in all facets of decor. but what’s on the cusp of exploding in a big way is white. crisp, clean, and pure, white – especially in the faucetry world. I’m right over here freaking out, waiting not-so-anxiously. take a look:

what do you get when you add walnut + white + a hint of copper & brass? a mid century dreamland.

trend watch extra: also expect to see side mounted/offset faucets.

a perfect compliment to any white: gold/brass.

dornbracht is currently slaying the white game, but brizo has caught on with one of my favorites, which means parent company delta is soon to follow. with the some of the biggest brands launching matte black finishes this year, don’t be surprised if 2k19 is full of glossy, smooth white in kitchen and bath, likely mixed with metal touches.

unlike it’s current trend predecessor, matte black, glossy white is what’s appearing everywhere, which will give interior designers and decorators the chance to play with both color and texture.

as a designer, I love mixing textures. playing with the two most basic colors (or lack there of), and the two ends of the “texture spectrum,” matte & gloss, is sure to create some killer design work from some amazing designers. super excited for this trend, you guys!

brizo is leading the game with its mixed finish faucet, incorporating both the white and chrome.

I’m envisioning a gloss white, matte black, brass and nero marquina powder room concept board coming pretty soon!

if (when???) the trend catches on, are you going to catch on with it?! sound off in the comments!
