whether you have a home office with floor-to-ceiling bookcases, or a 300 square foot studio, books are a staple in any home.
there’s just no substitute for a thick, heavy, beautifully bound coffee table book. not just any book, but coffee table books; books full of vivid, rich imagery that you can just pour over and have just the right amount of content to accompany it. you enjoy them on special occasions when you have company, or when you host a wine night for one and want to feel fancy.
even if not for reading, they make beautiful decorative objects that enhance any type of space -minimal, maximalist, contemporary, traditional, et al.
if you’re a designer, you need to have these books by de facto. if you’re a design guru, you need to have these books to satiate that design itch. even if you’re someone who just aspires to have a well designed home, you also need to have these books.
they’re not to kill a mockingbird, pride and prejudice, or jane eyre, but they’re definitely classics.
